Octember!

This month has been great! After a surf trip to Yakutat, Troy and I are cranking at our jobs. The snow is starting to fall in Alaska and we are excited to see if the winter allows any sailing opportunity. Other than that we are saving money and preparing for our spring endeavor of hauling the boat and solidifying some of our planned upgrades!

Troy's most recent projects include ordering a new heater for La Leyenda and continuing to plan the dingy we will build.

Collectively we decided to go with diversity for our dingy/skiff options. We are leaning towards buying an inflatable Zodiac style skiff and storing it under a rigid dingy with an outboard stored as well. Also, we plan on servicing an older life raft and having it re-certified for use. These three items will make efficient and effective options that are also reliable and storable. I cannot wait until this plan unfolds. Anxiety builds with the hurry up and wait pattern we are in... Hurry up and buy the boat, wait and save more money, hurry up and work on the boat, wait for the weather, hurry up and plan for outfitting, wait and save more money, hurry and buy more materials, wait for weather...

It's all good
