Fall in Whittier

We took the boat out one last time before the first freeze. The wind was light and the sea was calm, but the fog was cool and we had fun. Now Troy and I are gearing up for a surf trip to Yakutat mid October!

Mako Spearguns

Hey Everybody,

The Leyenda crew encourages you to take a look at our new partner's website. MAKO Spearguns have quality product and we are glad to have their support as we move closer to our departure. Gear from MAKO will surely give us a tremendous advantage as we hunt for food around the world! MAKO sells right to the diver instead of selling through dive shops, this allows their prices to be extremely fair for such a high quality product. I look forward to years of use! Click on the MAKO logo at the bottom of our page if you would like to read more about them. We will keep you posted by product reviews as we utilize their gear more and more...

Waking the Sleeping Giant

Troy and I worked on La Leyenda for a few days then decided, after getting the engine up and running, that we needed to stretch her legs and check out the sails. Leyenda handled nicely in the Whittier waters and the sails are in as bad of shape as we expected. Everything went great minus shaking off some rust while docking ;) Next we have some build up, refitting on the interior and electrical work to do. The excitement continues...

Fritz wanted to make sure that the life raft was good to go.
