Positivibes!

A lot has happened since our last post.  Troy and I have been spear fishing a couple more times, we went to Homer with my dad for the fourth of July, we have continually soaked in the sunny days of this epic AK summer, and we have continued with our work towards closing the deal on La Leyenda the boat.

So, turns out banks do not care if you want to sail around the world. No matter how much passion someone might have for pursuing their dreams the bank will suck the wind right out of your sails with a cold slap of reality really fast.

The funny part about everything is that thanks to great friends and family Troy and I have an endless reserve of stamina when the subject is making La Leyenda happen. So if you have ever heard the term "do not take no for an answer" then you are familiar with one of our philosophies on purchasing a boat. As of now there is a bank that has pre approved me for a loan and just ask that I provide certain documents, as well as, a boat survey from a creditable source. La Leyenda is getting closer!

Below is a pic of a nice healthy salmon fillet that Troy and I ate this weekend.

And this is a wave we built because the surf was flat in Spenard.
